Submenu items • Full HD 1080/50i ( ): Records in the Full HD (1920x1080/50i) format. • HD 720/50p ( ): Records in the HD (1280x720/50p) format. • SD 576/50p ( ): Records in the SD (720x576/50p) format. • “50i” indicates the camcorder will record in interlaced scan mode at 50 fields per second. • “50p” indicates the camcorder will record in progressive scan mode at 50 frames per second. • Recorded files are encoded using Variable Bit Rate (VBR). Tele Macro Using the Tele Macro function, you can get close up images which are created by focusing on a small portion of a large object at a tele angle. It is useful to get close up images of flowers or insects etc. 1 Press the Home ( ) button .. touch “Settings” .. “Shooting”. 2 Touch the desired item next to “Tele Macro”. > Shooting Photo Resolution Tele Macro OIS Duo Video Resolution ON OFF 3 To exit the menu, touch the Return ( ) tab. Submenu items • OFF: Disables the function. • ON ( ): You can focus on a small portion of a large object at a tele angle. • When recording in Tele Macro mode, the focus speed may be lowered. • Use a tripod (not supplied) to prevent camcorder shake in the Tele Macro mode. • Avoid shadows when recording in the Tele Macro mode. • As the distance to the subject decreases, focusing area narrows. • When the distance between the camcorder and a subject is too close and the camcorder cannot be in the focus, rotate the Zoom dial towards W (wide-angle) a little bit and then adjust the focal distance between them. • When the Tele Macro is On and the camcorder magnifies a subject in tele mode, the minimum focal distance between the camcorder and a subject is 50cm.
