Resumen del manual

Operating the extractor hood The most effective method of removing vapours produced during cooking is to: q Switch the ventilator ON as soon as you begin cooking. q Switch the ventilator OFF a few minutes after you have finished cooking. en Key Function A Switches the extractor motor on and off at low speed. B Medium speed C Maximum speed D Switches the lighting system on and off. 17 18 en Filters and maintenance . Unhook the security chain by opening the shackle, then lift the grid upward. . Remove the filters one by one. . Any kind of bending of the filters has to be avoided when washing them. Before fitting them again into the hood make sure that they are completely dry. (The colour of the filter surface may change throughout the time but this has no influence to the filter efficiency). . Put the clean filters back on the Grid in its place . Hook the security chain and put back the Grid onto the hood Grease filters: Metal-mesh filters are used to trap the grease particles in the cooking vapours. The filter mats are made from noncombustible metal. Caution: As the filter becomes more and more saturated with grease, there is an increased risk of fire and the function of the extractor hood may be impaired. Important: By cleaning the metal grease filters at appropriate intervals, the possibility of them catching fire as a result of a build-up of heat such as occurs when deepfat frying or roasting is taking place, is reduced. Filters can be washed in the dish machine. They need to be washed every 2 month, or even more frequently in case of particularly intensive use of the hood. Removing and inserting metal self- supporting grease filters . First unhook the filter-holding Grid by pressing to the top to make it open. To open the Grid, push strongly on the points indicated by the stickers. .. .. Filters and maintenance Activated carbon filter: For neutralizing odours in recirculating mode. Caution: As the filter becomes more and more saturated with grease, there is an increased risk of fire and the function of the hood may be impaired. Important: Change the activated carbon filter promptly to prevent the risk of fire from the accumulation of heat when deep-fat frying or roasting. These filters are not washable and cannot be regenerated, and must be replaced approximately every year of operation, or more frequently with heavy usage. en Replacing the activated carbon filter q Unhook the filter-holding grid (see “Removing and inserting metal self- supporting grease filters”). q Remove the saturated activated carbon filter by releas-ing the fixing hooks. q Fit the new filter by hooking it into its seating. q Hook the filter-holding grid (see “Removing and inserting metal self- supporting grease filters”). Disposal of the old activated carbon filter: q Activated carbon filters do not contain any harmful substances. They can be disposed of as residual waste. 19 Cleaning and care Isolate the extractor hood by pulling out the mains plug or switching off the fuse. q When cleaning the grease filters, remove grease deposits from accessible parts of the housing. This prevents the risk of fire and ensures that the extractor hood continues operat ing at maximum efficiency. q Clean the extractor hood with a hot soap solution or a mild window cleaner. q Do not scrape off dried-on dirt but wipe off with a damp cloth. en q Do not use scouring agents or abrasive sponges. q Note: Do not use alcohol (spirit) on plastic surfaces, as dull marks may appear. Caution: Ensure that the kitchen is adequately ventilated. Avoid naked flames! Clean the operating buttons with a mild soapy solution and a soft, damp cloth only. Do not use stainless-steel cleaner to clean the operating buttons. Stainless steel surfaces: q Use a mild non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. q Clean the surface in the same direction as it has been ground and polished. Do not use any of the following to clean stainless steel surfaces: abrasive sponges, cleaning agents containing sand, soda, acid or chloride! Aluminium and plastic surfaces: q Use a soft, non-linting window cloth or micro- fibre cloth. q Do not use dry cloths. q Use a mild window cleaning agent. q Do not use aggressive, acidic or caustic clean ers. q Do not use abrasive agents. 20 Replacing the light bulbs 1. Switch off the extractor hood and pull out the mains plug or switch off the electricity supply at the fuse box. When switched on, the halogen bulbs become very hot. Even for some time after the bulbs have been switched off there is still a risk of burns. 2. With the aid of a screwdriver pull out the bulbs or, if it is not easy, remove the 2 screws fixing the Lighting support, and pull it out of from the Hood. 3. Replace the halogen light bulb (conventional halogen bulb, 12 Volt, max. 20 Watt, GU4 bulb- holder). Caution: Plug-in bulbholder. 4. Replace the Support, fixing it in place with the two screws removed as above. 5. Restore the power by inserting the mains plug or switching on the fuse. Note: I...
