3. Use a file to sharpen blade to fine edge. Remove all nicks and dents in blade edge. If blade is severely damaged, it should be replaced. 4. Balance the blade as shown in Figure 32. Center the blade’s hole on a nail lubricated with a drop of oil. A balanced blade will remain level. 5. Reinstall each blade with the tabs pointing up toward deck as shown in Figure 33. The five (5) blade spacers, blade, washer and bolt must be reinstalled in the exact same order in which they were removed. Secure with a bolt and hex nut. Use a wooden block to prevent blade rotation and torque bolts to 70 ft.lbs. (94 N.m.). WARNING Mower blades are sharp. For your personal safety, do not handle mower blades with bare hands.
