13. At the LILO Configuration screen, select the options install LILO and Create
bootdisk. LILO should be installed to the MBR. Select Use linear mode, it is needed
for SCSI drives. Click Next.
14. Configure your network interfaces. You can use DHCP (recommended) or static IP to
configure the network interfaces. Click Next.
15. At the Firewall Configuration screen, configure the firewall to suits your
requirements. Click Next.
16. At the Language Selection screen, select all the languages you would like support
for. Click Next.
17. Select the appropriate timezone for your area. Click Next.
18. Enter the root password. On the next line, reconfirm the password. The password will
not get displayed. Click Next.
19. Set the Authentication schemes that apply to your network. Click Next.
20. At the Package group selection screen, select the software package that suits your
need. You can customize the preset packages by clicking on Select individual
packages
. Click Next.
21. (Optional) If you have installed the X Window System, you will have to configure
your hardware.

A. The first step is to select the video card. The installer should have already probed
the card. Verify that the correct card was identified with the proper amount of RAM.
Click Next

B. At the Monitor Configuration screen, select your Monitor. Entering wrong
horizontal and/or vertical sync rate may damage your monitor. Please consult
your system documentation.
Click Next.

C. At the “Graphic Configuration” screen, select the color depth and the screen
resolution. Click on Test settings to ensure that the monitor will support the chosen
configuration. You may also have to select between the two desktop environments:
KDE and GNOME. If you set the login type to Graphical, the GUI will be loaded at
boot time. Click Next..
22. This is the last step before the install begins. If you would like to make a last minute
change, click on Back, otherwise click Next.
23. After all packages are installed, you will be able to create the boot disk. Insert a new
floppy disk in the drive and press Next. When the process completes, carefully label
the floppy Red Hat Linux 7.1 Professional boot disk and store it in a safe place.
