FRONT HANDLE See Figure 2. 1. Remove the front handle, bolt, and wing nut from the Owner’s Kit. 2. Install the front handle onto the top side of the drive shaft housing and move it to a comfortable position. 3. Place the bolt through the front handle as shown, then install the wing nut. 4. Tighten wing nut securely. CURVED SHAFT GRASS DEFLECTOR WITHOUT EDGER GUIDE - TRIMLITE AND TRIM ‘N EDGE See Figure 3. 1. Remove wing nut, flat washer, lock washer, and bolt from the Owner’s Kit. 2. Place curved shaft grass deflector over shaft and bracket. 3. Install bolt through the slots in the tabs on grass deflector and bracket on shaft housing. 4. Install flat washer, lock washer and wing nut. 5. Tighten Securely. CURVED SHAFT GRASS DEFLECTOR WITH EDGER GUIDE - TRIM ‘N EDGE ONLY EDGER GUIDE ASSEMBLY See Figure 4. 1. Assemble the two plastic pieces of the edger guide together using the short bolt, flat washer, lock washer and wing nut. 2. Slide the edger guide to adjust it to the desired trimming length. 3. Place the curved shaft grass deflector over the shaft and bracket. 3. Slide the assembled edger guide over the tabs on the grass deflector and bracket. 4. Place the bolt through the slots in the tabs on the grass deflector and trimmer. NOTE: Ensure the slots are aligned before installing the bolt. 5. Install the flat washer, lock washer and wing nut. 6. Tighten the wing nut securely. STRAIGHT SHAFT GRASS DEFLECTOR - EASY REACH See Figure 7. 1. Remove the wing nut and clamp from the grass deflector. 2. Assemble straight shaft grass deflector to drive shaft so that the peg in the grass deflector fits in the locator hole in the lower side of the drive shaft near the gear head. 3. Place the mounting bracket over the drive shaft so the square tab on the mounting bracket fits into the slot in the straight shaft grass deflector. 4. Rotate the mounting bracket so the screw on the grass deflector goes into the slot on the mounting bracket. 5. Install the wing nut and tighten securely.
