] Fast Control Mode The connected device cannot be charged. The keyboard and mouse pointer focus can be quickly moved to the connected device. NOTE • Mobile Control supports only mobile devices that have the USB Host function. Support for this feature depends on the specifications of your mobile device. • Galaxy S2 is supported. Galaxy products made by Sprint (United States) and AT&T (United States) are not supported because they do not have the USB Host function. 35 Using Smart Station Using the Mobile Control o Connect your PC to the product using the wireless-connection dongle or a USB cable. NOTE Connect your PC to the product using the wireless-connection dongle or a USB cable. For further details on how to connect, refer to "Software Installation for Using Smart Station" (page 21). 0 If the PC is connected to the product, Mobile Control and Wireless Connection Manager will automatically install. NOTE If installation does not start automatically, install the Mobile Control program using the install file found on the user manual CD provided. Wireless Connection Manager is for Series 7 only. © After the software is installed, the Mobile Control icon will appear on the far right side of the taskbar. NOTE Charging/Control Mode will be set as default. You can then charge the connected device. O Connect the mobile device to the product using the mobile cable. NOTE A connection kit is required to connect to some mobile devices. For further details on how to connect, refer to "Connecting and Using Devices by Type" (page 37). © To move the mouse and keyboard pointer focus to the mobile device, press the mouse wheel or the shortcut keys (Alt + S) on the keyboard. NOTE The shortcut keys can be customized in the custom settings window. Refer to "Changing the Settings" (page 40). 6 To move the mouse input and keyboard focus to a mobile device more quickly, double click the Mobile Control icon on the right to activate Fast Control Mode. NOTE In this mode, movement of the mouse input and keyboard focus is faster but battery charging is not possible. 36 Using Smart Station Connecting and Using Devices by Type Check the proper instructions for the device you will be using. > Mobile devices should be purchased separately. Connect your Android smartphone to the Smart Station monitor using the mobile cable. 2. After the connection is established, Charging/Control Mode will be set as default. You can then charge your smartphone. In this mode, it may take a while to shift the keyboard and mouse pointer focus to the smartphone. 3. To move the keyboard and mouse pointer focus to the smartphone, press the mouse wheel or the shortcut keys (Alt + S) on the keyboard. The mouse cursor will move to the smartphone. You can now use the keyboard and mouse on your smartphone. NOTE • If the keyboard or mouse input focus is on the mobile device, the PC cannot be controlled using the same input device (keyboard or mouse). • To move the keyboard and mouse input focus back to the PC, press the center button on the mouse or press the shortcut keys (Alt+S) on the keyboard. 4. To move the keyboard and mouse pointer focus to the smartphone more quickly, doubleclick the Mobile Control icon on the far right side of the taskbar and activate Fast Control Mode. In this mode, shifting the keyboard and mouse pointer focus is faster and the battery charging function is not available. NOTE The shortcut keys can be customized. For details on changing the shortcut keys, refer to "Changing the Settings"(page 40). 37 Using Smart Station Android tablet * When your mobile device has a normal USB port > Mobile devices should be purchased separately. Wired connection °s A USB Wireless connection (for Series 7 only) Q USB Connection Kit (Micro USB to Normal USB) NOTE • If your tablet has a Micro USB port, you can use the same connection method as the Android smartphone. Refer to "Android smartphones"(page 37). • Charging/Control Mode is not supported and battery charging is not possible. • Before connecting to your mobile device, check that the Mobile Control icon is found on the far right side of the taskbar. 1. Connect the mobile cable to the USB Connection Kit. Next, connect the tablet to the Smart Station monitor using the connected mobile cable and USB Connection Kit. 2. After the connection is established, Fast Control Mode will be set as default. The charging function will not be available. * When the USB Connection Kit (Micro USB to Normal USB) is connected, Fast Control Mode is the default mode.
