To connect external speakers, proceed as follows: 1 Plug one end of a speaker cable (1) into the headphone connector (2) i on the computer. 2 Plug the other end of the speaker cable to the external speakers (3). 3 Turn down the volume of the speakers before you turn them on. . Make sure your speakers are designed for computer use. The built-in speakers may be turned off. Press + or the S1 button (default assignment) to turn on the speakers. . The speaker volume may be turned to the minimum. Press + and then Mor , or keep pressing + to increase the volume. . If you use external speakers, check that the speakers are properly connected and the volume is turned up. If the speakers have a mute button, make sure it is off. If batteries power the speakers, check that the batteries are inserted properly and that they are charged. . If you are using an application that has its own volume control, check that the volume is turned up. . The Advanced button appears for Microphone Balance. 5 Click the Advanced button and select the Mono Mic check box under Other Controls. ! This audio channel setting is only applied to sound recording with a microphone.
