Before proceeding, ensure that you save any unsaved files in any currently running applications. 1 Load the Setup Software & User's Guide CD-ROM. 2 Double-click the Printer Driver folder. 3 Double-click the Installer icon. 4 When the Software License Agreement is displayed, click Accept. 5 Select Uninstall from the drop-down menu and then click Uninstall. Note . If a warning message appears, indicating that other applications are running: • Click Cancel and save the document(s) if there are any unsaved documents open in the other applications. • Click Continue to continue the uninstall operation. 6 After the uninstall is complete, a message appears prompting you to restart your computer. Click Restart. Uninstalling Printer Drivers Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) • Starting the Memory Card Startup Utility • Setting the Application to Be Started • Deleting the Memory Card Startup Utility Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) Use and set the Memory Card Startup Utility to change the settings when you insert a memory card or to change the mode of the card slot. Normally, the Memory Card Startup Utility starts automatically when you insert a memory card. To start the Memory Card Startup Utility manually, follow the procedure described below. Note a • Always use the Memory Card Startup Utility to eject a memory card. If you eject a memory card while the indicator lamp is on or blinking, the memory card may not operate properly. • When you select Change the drive’s read/write attribute and set the Read/Write mode, note the following points: -Change the write protection (switch or seal to prevent accidental erasing) of the memory card to write-enabled mode before inserting the memory card. If you insert a write-protected card, the computer may not operate normally. -If you change the contents of a memory card, you must format the memory card with a digital camera, otherwise you may not be able to take photographs. This printer supports only the format used by the digital camera. Since this printer does not support the unique format of the computer, format it with the digital camera. -If you change or manipulate the contents of a memory card from a computer, be sure to print the contents from the computer. If you print the contents from the operation panel, the information may not print properly. Starting the Memory Card Startup Utility Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) Double-click the " " icon found on the right side of the task bar. The Memory Card Startup Utility is displayed. Start an application This item starts the application. (Depending on the application, the contents of the memory card may be displayed.) View card contents in Explorer Select this item to display a list of the files stored on the memory card with Windows Explorer. Starting the Memory Card Startup Utility Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) Using the Memory Card Startup Utility (Windows) When you select this item, the indicator lamp starts blinking, a message is displayed, and the printer gets ready for memory card ejection. When the indicator lamp goes off, press the Eject button to eject the memory card. Note . If you are using Windows XP or Windows 2000, the computer recognizes the card slot as a removable disk. Therefore, if you want to turn off the printer while you are using the computer, perform the hardware removal operation by using the " " icon found on the right side of the task bar. Change the drive’s read/write attribute When you select this item, the USB Memory Card Settings dialog box is displayed.You can change the mode (read-only mode, and read/write enabled mode) of the card slot by following the instructions displayed on the screen. Be sure to eject the memory card using Eject the Memory Card before you change the mode. Auto-start an application when a card is inserted/Do nothing when a card is inserted Select whether an application is to be started automatically when the memory card is inserted. Note .
