Should you place the rope light outdoors, select a suitably weather-protected wall socket or use a waterproof extension cable. If you are in any way unsure about it, consult a specialist. • Ensure that the plug is at all times easily accessible so that it may be swiftly removed in the event of danger. • When in use, ensure that the power cable cannot become jammed/trapped or damaged in any way. Place it such that no one can trip or stumble over it. Do not burden the power cable with pulling forces, do not tension it. • Should the power cable or the power plug become damaged, arrange for these to be replaced by Customer Service before continuing to use the appliance. • Ensure that the plug is removed from the wall socket before attaching or removing the rope light. • Do not position the power cable or the extension cable in snow. Melt-water as well as freezing-up and sharp ice crystals can impair the safety of the power cable. • After use or during extended absences, ALWAYS remove the plug from the power socket. For as long as the plug is inserted in the wall socket the appliance itself is under electrical power.
