Maintenance Clean the unit with a soft cloth, or a damp chamois leather. Never use solvents. Power Failure Indicator When AC power is interrupted (disconnected) for a short period of time, both time and alarm settings will change (unless batteries are installed). After AC power is restored (reconnected), the Digital Display will blink to indicate that power was interrupted and you should readjust the time and alarm settings. Plugging In For Power AC OUTLET POWER SUPPLY: 120V~60Hz Note: Power is fed to the unit even when it is not functioning. To cut the power supply off, the power cable must be unplugged. Top View OFF - turns the unit on or off. FWD - sets time (increases value). SNOOZE - enters snooze mode where the alarm will quiet but sound again once the snooze period is over. REV - sets time (decreases value). RADIO/AUX - selects radio or AUX mode. WAKE - OFF - activates and sets wake function. /WAKE1/WAKE2/ - slide switch to set Wake 1, Wake 2 and clock time. NAP - activates nap function. SLEEP - activates sleep function. Back View BRIGHTNESS - selects display brightness. TIME ZONE - slide to select time zone corresponds to your location. DST - turns daylight saving function on or off. AM/FM - selects between AM and FM bands. Right View -VOLUME+ - adjusts volume. TUNING - selects radio frequencies. AUX IN - AUX input jack. Before You Plug for Power 1. Setting Time Zone You may slide the TIME ZONE selector at the back of the unit to Eastern (EST), Central (CST), Mountain (MST) or Pacific (PST) (refer to the maps on the right). 2. Daylight Saving You can slide the DST switch at the back of the unit to turn on/ off in areas observing/ not observing such time change. WARNING: Please avoid playing with these buttons after entering the Clock/Alarm set mode. Auto Clock Set You do not have to set the clock time as a built-in automatic time set system is equipped in this clock powered by 3V (2 X AA batteries, included). All you have to do is to plug this clock for power and current time will be shown automatically. However, the batteries can also be exhausted and we recommend that you replace the batteries every 2-3 years. Brightness Control Clock time and radio frequency are display on the display area at the front of the unit. Slide BRIGHTNESS switch on the back of the unit to HI (high) or LO (low) position to adjust the brightness. Selecting Radio Mode Press RADIO/AUX to switch on radio.
