Check the oil level when the iler is not attached to the tractor. Remove the reather plug, located on top front of gear box. When the breather plug has been removed, oil should be up to the top of breather plug hole. The universal joints on the drive shafts have grease fittings and should periodically be greased. See figure 23. FIGURE 23 NOTE When removing tiller and reinstalling mower deck, be sure front cross shaft is reassembled as shown in figure 24.
