3 Touch Always accept request if you would like to automatically accept sharing requests from other devices. 4 Touch Receive files if you would like to automatically allow upload files to my phone from other devices. 5 Touch Discoverable checkbox to turn on. Connectivity 6 Under the Sharing contents section, touch to checkmark the types of content you would like to share. Choose from Pictures, Videos and Music. 7 SmartShare is now activated and ready to share contents. To share contents from remote content library to other devices Let your renderer device (e.g. TV) play multimedia contents from your remote content library (e.g. PC). NOTE: Make sure that the DLNA functionality of your devices is properly configured (e.g. TV and PC). 1 Touch Application tab and select SmartShare. 2 Touch the top right button to or select the device from renderer lists. 3 Touch the top left button and select the device of the remote content library. 4 You can browse the content library. 5 Touch a content thumbnail or press the Menu key and select Play button. To share contents from your phone to your renderer device(e.g. TV) NOTE: Make sure that your renderer device is properly configured. 1 While browsing your pictures or videos using the Gallery application, touch and hold to select files. Then you will be able to select multiple files to be shared. 2 Touch Share on the menu and select the SmartShare. 3 SmartShare is automatically launched with the selected files. 4 Select the device from renderer lists to play the files. NOTE: Follow the similar steps to use the Music player, Camera and Video player to share contents. Notice: Check that your device is connected with your home network using Wi-Fi connection to use this application. Some DLNA enabled devices (e.g. TV) support only the DMP feature of DLNA and will not appear in the renderer device list. Your device might not be able to play some contents. To download contents from remote content library 1 Touch Applications tab and select SmartShare. 2 Touch the top left button and select the device of the remote content library. 3 You can browse the content library. 4 Touch a content thumbnail then touch Download menu key. Notice: A few types of contents are not supported. To upload contents from my phone to remote content library NOTE: Make sure that SD card is correctly mounted and the Receive files in settings menu is checked. 1 Touch Applications tab and select SmartShare. 2 Touch the top left button and select My phone. 3 You can browse the content library. 4 Touch and hold a content thumbnail and then touch the Upload menu key. 5 Select a device of remote content library to be uploaded. Notice: Some DLNA enabled devices do not support DMS upload functionality and will not be uploaded. A few types of contents are not supported. To play contents from remote content library on your phone 1 Touch Application tab and select SmartShare. 2 Touch the top right button and select My phone from renderer lists. 3 Touch the top left button and select the device of the remote content library. 4 You can browse the content library. 5 Touch a content thumbnail or press the Menu key and select Play button. 6 Touch a or button to switch between 2D – 3D modes. Notice: Some contents could be corrupted under 3D mode. Mobile network sharing Learn to set your device as a wireless modem or wireless access point for PCs or other devices, and share your device’s mobile network connection. Share your device’s mobile network via WLAN 1 In Idle mode, open the application list and select Settings > Wireless & networks > Portable hotspot. Connectivity 2 Select Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to activate the WLAN hotspot. 3 Select Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings. 4 Select Configure Wi-Fi hotspot to customise the WLAN hotspot: Network SSID - View and edit the device name that will be shown to external devices. Security - Select the security type. Share your device’s mobile network via USB 1 Connect the phone to your PC using the USB cable. 2 USB connection mode list will appear. 3 Select USB tethering to activate the USB tethering feature. Your device shares the mobile network connection on your PC. To stop sharing the network connection, clear the check box next to USB tethering. (Select Charge only option to disconnect the phone.) NOTE: The sharing method for the network connection may differ depending on the PC’s operating system. GPS Your device is equipped with a global positioning system (GPS) receiver. Learn to activate location services. To receive better GPS signals, avoid using your device in the following conditions: • Between buildings, in tunnels or underground passages, or inside buildings in poor weather around high voltage or electromagnetic fields. • Do not touch the internal antenna area or cover this area with your hands or other objects while using the GPS functions. • This feature may be unavailable depending on your region or service provider.
