In order for your Panasonic EBGD87 to access WAP sites, you must first make sure
that you have your SIM data enabled with your airtime provider. Their telephone
number will be on your phone bill. The above settings are necessary to use WAP
facilities via Vodafone Live
Step-by-step guide to configure WAP on your GD87
1. Press the “Central navigation” key to enter “Menu”, scroll to "Browser" and press “Select”.
2. Scroll to "Server List" and press “Select”.
3. Scroll to the first available location and press “Menu”, scroll to "Edit" and Press “Select”.
4. Scroll to "Profile Name" and press “Edit”.
Before entering any characters make sure that text mode 'ABC', 'Abc' or 'abc' is displayed at the bottom left of the
screen. If it is not visible, press the Left Soft Key repeatedly until 'abc' is displayed. To toggle between upper and
lower case characters press the *? key. Press the “C” key at the top right of the keypad to delete any unwanted
characters, or to go back if you make a mistake.
5. Type O2 WAP, then press Menu and “Select” OK.
6. Scroll to "Home URL" and press “Edit”.
7. Type http://wap.o2.co.uk (lower case only); press “Menu” and “Select” “OK”. NB: To select special
characters (: / @ etc.) press and hold down key 1
8. Scroll to "Gateway IP" and press “Edit”.
9. Type 193.113.200.195”, press “Menu” and “Select” OK.
10. Scroll to "Security" and press “Select”.
11. Scroll to "Non Secure" and press “Select”.
12. Scroll to "Bearer Type" and press “Select”.
13. Scroll to "Circuit Switch", press “Menu” and “Select” “Edit”.
14. Scroll to "Digital Dial #" and press “Edit”.
15. Type +447712927927, press “Menu” and “Select”
16. Scroll to "Analog Dial #" and press “Edit”.
17. Type +447712927927,, press “Menu” and “Select”
18. Scroll to "Circuit Type" and press “Select”.
19. Scroll to "Digital Only" and press “Select”.
20. Scroll to "User ID" and press “Edit”.
21. Type o2wap, (lower case only), press “Menu” and “Select” OK.
22. Scroll to "User Password" and press “Edit”.
23. Type password (lower case only), press “Menu” and “Select” OK.
24. Press “C” (top right soft key) 3 times and scroll to “Vodafone Live”
25. Press “Menu”, scroll to “Set” and press “Select”.
26. Press the red “Power” button once to return to the “Idle Screen”.
