Resumen del manual

Change hydraulic system filter element after first 50 hours of tractor operation, then replace filter and oil in reservoir every 500 hours thereafter. When changing hydraulic oil use 1/2 unit (approximately 3.5 oz.) of Lubrizol additive (Hustler P/N 027912). This additive, available from your Hustler dealer, will increase the performance life of the hydraulic system components. The system filter is located to the right of the hydraulic reservoir. A 600876_0706 20 standard oil filter wrench is used to change filter, threads are right handed. Use a Hustler approved filter element only. IMPORTANT: Prefill the filter element with clean oil, before installing, to prevent drawing air into the system pump. Super Z Diesel The hydraulic reservoir is part of the radiator housing. The fill neck is the left neck on the top of the radiator housing. Fig. 4-2 Fluid level should be 3” (7.62 CM) from the top of fill neck on units equipped with a vented reservoir cap. On units equipped with a non-vented reservoir cap the fluid level should be 2” (5.08 CM) from the top of fill neck. Use only Mobil 1 15w-50 synthetic oil. Do not use Lubrizol additive with Mobil 1 15w-50 synthetic oil. Fig. 4-3 Change hydraulic system filter element and reservoir oil after first 50 hours of tractor operation, then at 300 hours and then every 500 hours or annually, whichever comes first, thereafter. The system filter is located next to the left drive wheel on the tractor frame. A standard oil filter wrench is used to change filter, threads are right handed. Use a Hustler approved filter element only. IMPORTANT: Prefill the filter element with clean oil, before installing, to prevent drawing air into the system pump. Fuel system DANGER: Observe usual fuel handling precautions: Do not smoke while refueling. Do not fill tank with engine running or while engine is hot. Clean up any gasoline spills. Allow engine to cool before storing machine inside a building. Keep fuel away from open flame or spark and store machine away from open flame or spark if there is fuel in the tank. Use extra caution when handling gasoline and other fuels. They are flammable and vapors are explosive. A fire or explosion from gasoline can burn you and others and can damage property. Refuel outdoors preferably, or in well ventilated areas. Never attempt to start engine when there is a strong odor of gasoline fumes present. Locate and correct cause. Store gasoline in an approved container and keep it out of the reach of children. Never buy more than a 30 day supply of gasoline. Always place gasoline containers on the ground away from your vehicle before filling. Do not fill gasoline containers inside a vehicle or on a truck or trailer as interior carpets or plastic truck bed liners may insulate the container and slow the loss of any static charge. When practical, remove equipment from the truck or trailer and refuel the equipment with its wheels on the ground. If this is not possible, then refuel the equipment on the truck or trailer using a portable container and not a gasoline dispenser nozzle. If a gasoline dispenser nozzle must be used, keep the nozzle in contact with the rim of the fuel tank or container opening at all times until fueling is complete. Read and observe safety precautions elsewhere in this manual. WARNING: Gasoline or diesel fuel is harmful or fatal if swallowed. Long-term exposure to vapors can cause serious injury and illness. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors. Keep face away from nozzle and gas tank or conditioner opening. Keep gas away from eyes and skin. WARNING: Fuel System Under Pressure! The EFI fuel system operates under high pressure, and the fuel filter and fuel line used must be approved system components only. Use of substitute parts can result in system failure, gasoline leakage and possible explosion. Fuel shut-off valve Closed position shown Left tank position Right tank position Hustler Z/Super Z shown Figure 4-4 Gasoline units The fuel tanks are located in the tractor’s fenders. Use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. IMPORTANT: Never use methanol, gasoline containing methanol, or gasohol containing more than 10% ethanol because the fuel system could be damaged. Do not mix oil with gasoline. A fuel shut-off valve is located on each tractor. The location and operation of the fuel valve will vary depending upon the unit. Close the fuel valve to prevent fuel flow to the engine. The valve’s two other positions will allow fuel to be drawn from either one or the other fuel tank. Fig. 4-4 Diesel units The fuel tanks are located in the tractor’s fenders. This engine requires number 2 diesel fuel only. Super Z Diesel tractors are equipped with a fuel shutoff valve located to the right rear of the seat. Rotate the valve to the middle position to allow fuel to flow from the right fuel tank to the fuel pump. The right position prevents fuel flow to the fuel pump. The left position allows fuel to flow from the left fuel ...
