Remove goal hardware from backboard braces and place with goal. Step 5: Remove and retain screws on unit's side covers that secure unit to pallet. Step 6: Remove and retain screws that are attached to tape going through brake feet (2). Step 7: Push two brackets down to raise brake feet (2) and lower wheels. Step 8: This step requires three adults—two to handle unit and one to remove pallet. Roll front wheels of unit off of pallet; tilt unit forward on front wheels; remove pallet and then lower unit down on four wheels. 1 2 11 800-426-9784 C1000 & C2000 Assembly Instructions Base Assembly - C1000 Step 1: Push two brackets (1) down to raise brake feet and lower wheels. Step 2: Remove four countersunk screws from lower padding. (Lower padding has six sides.) Step 3: Attach padding to underside of brackets using screws. NOTE: Operate brake feet and wheels as follows: • To lower brake feet and raise wheels, push up on padding until red lever latches. • To raise brake feet and lower wheels, release red lever; pull out on padding, and rotate padding down completely. Step 4: Remove two top screws from unit rear and open door (2). CAUTION: Without ballast material, unit is unstable and can tip easily. To prevent serious injury, do not proceed past next step until unit compartment is filled with ballast material. CAUTION: Unit is not designed for dunking in goal or hanging on goal. To prevent serious injury, do not overload unit with excessive ballast to permit improper goal use. Step 5: Place 250–300 lbs (115–135 kg) of ballast material into compartment. Arrange material so that it does not shift when moving or using unit. Step 6: Close door (2) and install two screws. 1 2 800-426-9784 12 C1000 & C2000 Assembly Instructions Unpacking - C2000 Fully loaded pallet weighs 440 lbs (200 kg) and is difficult to handle. To prevent serious injury, a suitable lifting device must be used to remove pallet from truck. Slider post is spring loaded and can extend rapidly. To prevent serious injury, do not cut strap that holds slider post in place or loosen lock handle (1) for height adjustment handle until instructed to do so. Step 1: Remove pallet from truck, and place it on a level surface. Use of a fork lift is recommended. Step 2: Carefully remove wrapping and banding materials. Step 3: Remove goal, lower and upper padding, backboard, backboard braces with attached goal hardware. Step 4: Unpack all boxes and lay parts out. Remove goal hardware from backboard braces and place with goal. Step 5: Remove and retain two 3/8" bolts (2) that secure unit to pallet. Step 6: This step requires three adults—two to handle unit and one to remove pallet. Using two people, fold entire unit down. Position unit so that brake feet are on pallet and rear wheels are on ground. Push on extension post to raise unit off of pallet. To prevent serious injury, avoid all pinch points by grabbing handle on main post back side with both hands when lifting post into place. Step 5: Grab handle on main post (3) back side, and lift post until it snaps into place. To prevent serious injury, do not overload unit with excessive ballast to permit improper goal use. 1 2 Step 6: Remove left and right-hand base unit side covers by removing eight screws per side (16 screws total). Step 7: Place 350 lbs (160 kg) of ballast material (1) into compartments behind bulkheads (2). Arrange material so that it does not shift when moving or using unit. Step 8: Attach covers using 16 screws. Backboard, Rim, and Extension Post Assembly NOTE: DO NOT fully tighten hardware during assembly.
