.Set to Tape Recording Mode. 1 Press the Photoshot button [ ] while recording image onto a tape. .For the number of still pictures to be recorded on a card, refer to -71-. .When recording pictures onto a card, the recording start/stop button is disabled. .You can select the picture quality for still pictures to be recorded. (-30-) .In order to record higher quality still pictures, you must use the card recording mode. .When recording still pictures, hold the Camcorder firmly with your hands and keep your arms stationary at your side so as not to shake the Camcorder. Recording a still picture on a tape (Photoshot) (PV-GS80 only) Still pictures can be recorded from the Camcorder directly onto the tape. .Set to Tape Recording Mode. 1 Press the Photoshot button [ ] in the recording pause mode. .The Camcorder records a still picture for about 7 seconds and then switches back to the recording pause mode. .If you set [ADVANCED] >> [SHTR EFFECT] >> [ON], you can add image and a sound like releasing the shutter. .Photoshot recording results in slightly inferior image quality. VOL 1tt W T 5tt W T 3232tt W T .When zooming in and taking a picture while holding the Camcorder by hand, we recommend using the optical image stabilizer function. .When you are zooming in on a faraway subject, a sharper focus is achieved if the recording subject is 1.3 m (4.3 feet) or further from the Camcorder. .When the zoom speed is high, the subject may not be focused easily. .When the zoom magnification is 1k, the Camcorder can focus on a subject approx. 2 cm (0.8 inches) away from the lens. .Be aware that a mechanical sound may be recorded when the [W/T] lever is released while zooming. Gently move the zoom lever back to it’s original position before releasing it. . Digital zoom function If the zoom magnification exceeds 32 times, then the digital zoom function will be activated.
