Set the camcorder to PLAY (VCR) mode. 2. Play back the tape. 3. Press the start/stop button when the scene you wish to record appears. A movie recorded from an image in 16:9 format will be vertically compressed. . The data code of the movie will reflect the date and time it has been recorded on the memory card. Recording from Other Video Devices You can record movies from devices connected via the S-video terminal or AV terminal (analog line-in function), or via the DV terminal on a memory card. 1. Connect the camcorder to the video device. • S-video/AV terminal: See Playing Back on a TV Screen ( 40). • DV terminal: See Connecting a Digital Video Device ( 87). 2. Set the camcorder to PLAY (VCR) mode. If a cassette is loaded, make sure the tape is stopped. 3. Connected device: Load a recorded cassette and play back the tape. 4. Playing Back a Memory Card Playing Back a Memory Card E You can play back memory card images on the LCD screen, viewfinder screen, or on a connected TV screen (see Playing Back on a TV Screen ( 39)). You can display a single image (single image display 110), 6 at one time (index screen 111), or one after another (slide show 111). Use the Card Jump function to quickly locate an image without displaying them one by one ( 112). . Images not recorded with this camcorder, uploaded from a computer (except the sample images 131), edited on a computer and images whose file names have been changed may not be played back correctly. . Still images not recorded with this camcorder may not be printed correctly on a Bubble Jet Printer with the direct print function. . Do not turn off the camcorder, disconnect the power source or remove the memory card while the card access display (<<<) in the upper right corner of the screen or the card access indicator is flashing. Doing so could result in data damage. . Make sure to insert a memory card that contains images. . Only date and time will be displayed when pressing the DATA CODE button. . You can enlarge still images by 2 times during playback ( 81). Single Image Display PLAY (VCR) CAMERA CARD PLAY (VCR) CARD CAMERA 1. Set the camcorder to CARD PLAY (VCR) mode. • The last recorded image appears. • MV650i Movies are displayed with the first scene as a still image indicated by “e/a”. 2. Press the CARD+/– button to move between images. Press the CARD + button to display the next image and the CARD – button to display the previous image. 3. To play back a movie, press the e/a button. MV650i The last scene appears as a still image when playback is complete. FOCUS MV630iMV650i Using a Memory Card 110 Index Screen PLAY (VCR) CAMERA CARD PLAY (VCR) CARD CAMERA E 1. In single image display, press the (index screen) button. • Up to 6 images appear. • MV650i Movies are displayed with the first scene as a still image indicated by “ ”. 2. Press the CARD +/– button to change the image selection. 3. Move the mark to the image you wish to view. • Turn the selector dial up to move to the next image and down to move to the previous image. • Turning the selector dial up on the last image displays the next index screen. Turning the selector dial down on the first image displays the previous index screen. 4. Press the (index screen) button. The index screen is cancelled and the selected image appears in single image display. AE SHIFT AE SHIFT Slide Show PLAY (VCR) CAMERA CARD PLAY (VCR) CARD CAMERA 1. In single image display, press the SLIDE SHOW button. SLIDE SHOW Images are played back one after another. MIX/ 2. Press the SLIDE SHOW button to stop the slide show. Using a MV630iMV650i 111 E Card Jump Function You can locate still images/movies without displaying them one by one. The number in the upper right of the screen indicates the image number of the current image by the total number of images.
