A typical camcorder dubbing hookup is shown below. Recording TV/VCR Playback Camcorder To Video/Audio In To AV Jack Audio/Video Cord (not supplied) Press the PLAY Button on the playback VCR, then press the PAUSE/STILL button. 3 4 5Press both the REC buttons at the same time on the remote control of the TV/VCR, then press the PAUSE/STILL button. NOTES: • It is recommended that the tape speed be set to the SP mode on the TV/VCR for best result. • Unauthorized recording of copyrighted television programs, films, video cassettes and other materials may infringe the rights of copyright owners and be contrary to copyright laws. 43 PROBLEM AND TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Check the following chart before requesting service. SYMPTOM CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION PAGE POWER No power. The AC power cord is not connected. Connect the AC power cord to the AC outlet. 7 Although the power is on, the TV/VCR does not operate. Cassette is not inserted. Insert a video cassette. 29 TIMER REC buttons is depressed. Press the TIMER REC buttons. 39 TV BROADCAST RECEPTION Poor or no picture. TV station experiencing problems. Try another channel. 18 Picture control is not adjusted. Check picture control adjustments. 27, 28 Possible local interference. Check for source of reception disturbance. 46 Antenna (CATV) connector is not connected or possible local interference. Check CATV connection or VHF/ UHF antenna, reposition or rotate antenna. 11, 13 Poor or no color. TV station experiencing problems. Try another channel. 18 Picture control is not adjusted. Check picture control adjustments. 27, 28 Possible local interference. Check for source of reception disturbance. 46 Antenna (CATV) connector is not connected or possible local interference. Check CATV connection or VHF/ UHF antenna, reposition or rotate antenna. 11, 13 Picture wobbles or drifts. TV station experiencing problems. Try another channel. 18 Antenna (CATV) connector is not connected or possible local interference. Check CATV connection or VHF/ UHF antenna, reposition or rotate antenna. 11, 13 Cable TV channel is scrambled. Try another channel. 18 No CATV reception. CATV connector is not connected. Check all CATV connections. 13 TV/CATV Mode menu option is set to the TV mode. Set the TV/CATV Menu option to the CATV mode. 22 Cable TV service interrupted. Contact your Cable TV company. 13 No reception above channel 13. TV/CATV Mode menu option is not set to the appropriate mode.
