By inserting the mobile computer into the cradle, the mobile computer battery charging starts. 822000731 (Rev. A) Correct Mobile Computer Insertion / Removal For correct insertion onto the cradle, insert the mobile computer from the top of the cradle and push it down firmly. CAUTION Datalogic Skorpio™ Serial/Modem Cradle can be connected to a Host by means of an RS232 interface or can provide a modem connection by means of the integrated modem through the RJ11 phone connector. RS232 Connection The Datalogic Skorpio™ Serial/Modem Cradle can be connected to the Host by means of cable 94A054000 for 9-pin connections. The RJ45 connector of the cable must be connected to the RS232 port of the cradle. Then, it is necessary to insert the power supply plug into the power jack on the base of the cradle and attach the power supply to a power outlet. Once the Host has been turned on, insert the mobile computer into the cradle. It can be connected to a telephone line to transfer data to a Host.
