• Turn shredding attachment upwards until it engages. • Attach filling tray. • Place a bowl or plate under the outlet opening. • Insert the mains plug. • Place the food to be processedin the feed tube. • Insert pusher and hold in place. Note: Pusher can be inserted in one direction only. Note position of the curve! • Switch on the appliance (I). • Press food down using the pusher. Do not exert too much pressure! After using the appliance: • Switch off the appliance (0). • Remove mains plug. • Pull out the pusher. • Remove the shredding attachmentHolding down the release button, turn the attachment to the right and remove. • Disassemble shredding attachment. Disassembly is in reverse order. • Clean all parts, see “Cleaning andservicing”. Grain mill attachment For grinding products such as wheat, oats, rice, ground coffee, pepper corns, wildmustard, walnuts, hazel nuts, dried mush rooms, almonds, soya, linseeds, buckwheat groats, shelled sunflower seeds, etc. The appliance is not intended to be used for grinding very hard products such as dried peas, maize or popcorn. Important information When the mill is attached, never use reverse. Attachment may be damaged! Fig. . Assembling grain mill attachment • Insert worm gear into the housing. • Insert grinding ring into the housing. Note shape of the parts! • Insert grinding cone. In doing so, the square head must be inserted into the opening of the worm gear. • Place grinding chamber on the housing. Lug on the grinding chamber must be in the recess on the housing. • Screw on threaded ring clockwise. Do not tighten the threaded ring too tight. • Screw on adjusting ring. • Put the grain mill attachment, inclinedslightly to the right, on the drive. • Turn grain mill attachment upwardsuntil it engages. • Tighten threaded ring. • Attach filling container. Never unscrew adjusting ring over STOP, grinder may be damaged. • Switch on the appliance (I). The appliance may be operated continuously for a maximum of 15 minutes. The grinder may jam or become blocked. – In the case of softer grain, such as oats or linseeds, the coarse setting must be selected for grinding. – Do not grind dry poppy seeds. Poppy seeds must be boiled andsoaked for several hours before they can be ground. – Wash the grinder thoroughly whenchanging from one product to another. This will prevent odours from impairingeach other. – Caution during the grinding process, as particles may sometimes jump up and hit you in the eye. Cover on the storage compartment is used as a base. • Insert driver into the drive. • Place housing on the drive and turnit until it locks into position. Outlet faces forwards (Fig. .–6). • Insert filter tray and pressing cone. • Place a suitable receptacle under the outlet. • Insert the mains plug. • Switch on the appliance (I). • Press fruit onto the pressing cone.
